Russell: “I Never Doubted Myself”

George Russell won sprint qualifying in Canada, securing his second career sprint pole position for Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team. Alongside him on the front row will be Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who finished just a few hundredths of a second behind his teammate.

Following a difficult weekend in Miami, Russell stated that he remains fully confident in his abilities and has never doubted himself. He also praised the Montreal circuit, saying it allows drivers to fully experience the car’s potential thanks to its high levels of grip and fast-flowing layout.
