Mercedes Moves Ahead of Ferrari

Mercedes drivers delivered a strong performance at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix: George Russell finished in second place, while Kimi Antonelli, after a tight battle with Carlos Sainz for a podium position, ended the race in fourth. This result allowed Mercedes to move up to second place in the Constructors’ Championship, surpassing Ferrari.

George Russell : “First of all, I would like to congratulate Carlos and the Williams team this is an excellent result for them. We are pleased to be back on the podium. Personally, the weekend was challenging due to illness, but the car handled reliably and predictably. I am also happy that Kimi was able to finish fourth.

I was genuinely delighted to see the checkered flag. Fortunately, I feel much better today than I did on Friday and Saturday. I plan to rest a little now, but we are completely satisfied with the result.

Our goal is to overtake Ferrari in the Constructors’ Championship, and today was an important step in that direction.”
