Max Verstappen Names the Top F1 Drivers of 2025

In an interview with the Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo,Max Verstappen shared his views on the strongest drivers in the 2025 Formula 1 season. He did not mention himself or seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton.

According to the Dutch driver, the best qualifier is Charles Leclerc, whom he praised not only for his speed but also for his attacking skills. However, the most compliments were reserved for Fernando Alonso. Verstappen described him as exemplary in on-track battles, the most experienced, and “mentally the most resilient” driver.

When asked about charisma, Max noted that it “does not influence driving a Formula 1 car.” Regarding the greatest driver in history,he declined to name a single individual: “It is impossible to choose just one, as many great drivers have competed in Formula 1 across different eras, and all of them deserve recognition.”
